1. Introduction
Welcome to GrainCraft Furniture. By commissioning our custom furniture design and woodworking studio, accessing our website, or purchasing our artisanal pieces, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging our services or committing to a build slot.
2. Custom Orders & Design Process
All custom furniture commissions begin with a formal design consultation. Upon approval of the final design sketches, dimensions, and specifications, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place in our production schedule.
Once material preparation and milling have commenced, structural alterations to the design cannot be guaranteed. Any modifications requested after the commencement of physical work may incur substantial additional fees and will likely extend the final completion timeline.
3. Craftsmanship & Natural Materials
Our woodworking studio prides itself on utilizing premium, ethically sourced natural materials. Solid wood is a dynamic, organic medium; therefore, inherent variations in grain pattern, texture, mineral streaks, and tonal coloration are to be expected. These unique characteristics confirm the authenticity of handcrafted furniture and are not classified as manufacturing defects.
Additionally, timber may expand and contract marginally with seasonal fluctuations in environmental humidity and temperature. Proper preventative care, including maintaining a stable indoor climate, is the sole responsibility of the client.
4. Payments & Pricing
A standard deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total project cost is required before lumber is acquired or construction begins. The remaining balance, alongside any applicable specialty finish upgrades or outstanding delivery fees, is due in full prior to the final dispatch of the item from our studio.
All listed prices and official quotes are strictly valid for thirty (30) days from issuance. Invoices do not include eventual local taxes, remote freight surcharges, or international customs duties unless explicitly itemized.
5. Delivery & Installation
We collaborate with specialized artisan logistics partners to ensure your premium furniture arrives safely. Estimated delivery windows are provided in good faith but are not strictly guaranteed due to the bespoke nature of our curing processes and unpredictable external transit factors.
It is the client's absolute responsibility to ensure that doorways, hallways, staircases, and final installation spaces possess adequate clearance to accommodate the completed pieces safely. Aborted deliveries due to access constraints remain chargeable.
6. Returns & Cancellations
Due to the entirely personalized nature of custom commissions, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on bespoke furniture once production has initiated. If an order must be canceled prior to the procurement of materials, a design and administrative fee will be deducted from your initial deposit before any partial refund is processed.
In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged in transit, the packaging and item must be meticulously documented photographically and reported to our studio within forty-eight (48) hours of signed delivery.
7. Liability & Warranty
GrainCraft Furniture provides a limited structural warranty covering joinery integrity and fundamental craftsmanship under normal, temperate residential use. This warranty expressly excludes damages resulting from misuse, abrasive cleaning chemicals, prolonged direct sunlight exposure, extreme humidity variations, neglect, or unauthorized modifications.
Under no circumstances shall our maximum total liability exceed the original purchase price of the specific commissioned item in question.
